Success isn't won in the fourth quarter alone...

it's built in all four.

The Four Quarters Approach

Drawing from founder Tim Brown's fifteen-year career as a basketball coach, we apply proven leadership principles to wealth management. We begin with meaningful conversations about your values and priorities, then identify both immediate and long-term financial goals. At Four Quarters Capital, we compartmentalize our planning process into four distinct life stages based on the four quarters of a basketball game, creating a clear roadmap with measurable milestones to guide your journey toward financial confidence and success.

Meet Tim Brown, founder and principal of Four Quarters Capital, a Registered Investment Adviser established in 2025. Tim lives in Lexington with his wife Marianne. Originally from Colorado and a Kentucky resident since 2013, Tim holds degrees in History from Biola University and a Masters in Applied Philosophy & Ethics from Texas State University.

Tim became a financial advisor in 2019. He has two decades of experience in finance, in addition to 15 years coaching women's basketball, highlighted by leading Asbury University to their first NAIA DII National Tournament win in 2016.

Tim serves on boards for two local non-profits: as treasurer for Revive Life House and as a board member for Hope for Congo. When not advising clients, Tim enjoys collecting and occasionally playing one of his many board games, supporting Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League, cooking with his wood smoker, and his newest pursuit—foil fencing at the Bluegrass Fencers Club.

Core Values

Investment Principles

Four Quarters Capital envisions a future where financial growth is synonymous with client success. Our investment philosophy emphasizes diversified strategies, consistent growth, cost-effective approaches, and personalized risk management tailored to individual client needs.

Accessibility

We believe financial guidance should be available to all. We welcome clients regardless of their wealth level, communicate in clear, jargon-free language, and remain readily available when our clients need us most. Our doors—and minds—are always open.

Adaptability

Your financial journey is uniquely yours. We craft fully customized plans and investment portfolios tailored to your specific goals, regularly updating strategies as your life evolves. We prioritize investment liquidity because we understand that access to your assets when you need them is essential to financial peace of mind.

Authenticity

We bring professionalism and humility to every client relationship, valuing substance over style in all we do. Our commitment to transparency means we openly discuss potential conflicts of interest and aren't afraid to say "we don't know"—because honest guidance is the only kind worth giving.

Abundance

We envision wealth as a pathway to a rich, fulfilling life. Our approach embraces opportunity rather than fear, helping you use your resources to create positive outcomes through data-driven strategies. We believe your wealth should work proactively to enhance your life's possibilities.
